When I saw these plush toys at Costco, I figured they wouldn't last longer than a hot minute. I was wrong. For a plush toy they are fairly tough. We gave one to each of our dogs and they are still around and intact.
As you can see from the picture, they are made from a tough canvas. I wasn't too worried about that being the problem. It was the stitching that had me worried. Since you can see that it is frayed, I figured they would just pull on it and then there'd be shark guts everywhere. Nope, just strings on the floor, guts intact, and a waterlogged shark.
I picked them up at Costco about a month ago. I went back and got another box since I figured they would be gone never to be seen again. Dog toys at Costco have a tendency of doing that. Luckily, Happy Tails has a website which has a pretty extensive catalog of dog products. The Nautical Tough Pals are actually part of their Adventure Series dog toys. They are for the "average" chewer. I think our dogs are more than an average chewer. Which is good news for Happy Tails, since they have been dog tested by an above average chewer and hold up well.
In addition to these toys, they sell beds, various other dog toys, and some dog treats. I think Dakota and Carolina might like to try the Gym Dog toys next. They sure look tough and fun!
